WHY DO I NEED A CONSULT?

Consultations are required for all services. Since 80% of our clients live outside of Atlanta, all of our consultations are performed virtually for the convenience of our customers.

During the consultation, we will look at your area of concern in detail and discuss client goals. We also explain the process in detail, including healing, what to expect, pre-care, aftercare, and cost. You will have the opportunity to ask any additional questions, ensuring you are knowledgeable and comfortable when choosing Scar Alchemy.

Consultations typically last 20-25 min.

The consultation fee is applied toward your service.

HOW MUCH DOES THIS COST?

We only provide quotes after consultation, as everyone’s stretch marks, scars, and skin are so different. Unfortunately, our services are not one size fits all. Several factors affect the cost (ie. location, color, texture, history of the area requesting treatment, , type of previous treatment, number of previous treatments, size, etc.), therefore quotes are given on an individual basis and determined AFTER consultations.

In general, we charge anywhere from $850-3000/per area (Stretch Mark Services) and $1500-4500/per area (Scar Services.) Lip Services start at $750 for the initial session and require touch-ups, which are based on how soon you return.

HOW DO I BOOK A CONSULT?

Click the “Request Consultation” tab on the home page.

Complete the application and be sure to upload a photo at the end with a clear pic of your area of concern IN NATURAL LIGHTING. Your pic will be used to determine your eligibility.

You will receive a response within 48 hours, via phone/email. If you are a candidate for treatment, you will receive a link to book a consult. The consultation is $100 and is NON-REFUNDABLE.

If you are not a candidate, someone from our team will contact you regarding additional resources.

All consultations are virtual for your convenience.

I HAVE AN OLD TATTOO THAT I WANT COVERED. WILL THE MEDICAL CAMOUFLAGE TATTOO WORK?

Unfortunately, the Medical Camouflage Tattoo will NOT cover up an old or faded tattoo. The specialized inks used for the Medical Camouflage Tattoo process are flesh toned. These inks are not designed to cover up black or colorful ink. If your tattoo is still visible, you’ll need to have it removed via a laser or saline removal process.

However, if you have had a previous tattoo removed which resulted in hypopigmentation, you are likely a candidate. You can schedule a consult here: Request Consultation.

CAN YOU CAMOUFLAGE "DARK" STRETCH MARKS?

Dark is a relative word. However, to answer this question, in order to qualify for this procedure, your stretch marks need to be lighter than your skin tone.

The best candidates are clients who have stretch marks that are significantly lighter than their skin tone.

This also applies to scars. In some cases, we can lighten the scars and then camouflage them for improved appearance.

In general, the Stretch Mark and Scar Camouflage treatments are most remarkable when stretch marks or scars are lighter than your skin tone.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I TAN?

Nothing!

For most people, their stretch marks usually get brighter in the sun. Therefore, camouflaging the color of your skin tone will make them less noticeable. Once camouflaged, they’ll no longer get brighter in the sun.

The normal skin (that has no stretch marks) will get darker as you tan, but there will be less of a contrast in color between your tanned skin and your camouflaged stretch marks.

Your camouflaged stretch marks will be less noticeable than they were before you got treatment. Once your tan goes away, your skin will once again blend in and be the same color.

HOW MANY SESSIONS WILL I NEED?

Stretch marks and scars are compromised areas, and unlike normal skin, they rarely absorb ink as easily. Typically, most people require at least two sessions.

Our bodies shed about 40-50% of pigment with each session. Since the ink is flesh-toned, and we are working on damaged skin, multiple sessions might be required.

Regardless of the area, each package includes two sessions, because stretch marks and scars are stubborn.

Be patient and commit to the journey. The results are worth it.

We do not take insurance for stretch marks or scar camouflage. However, we are Health Savings Account (HSA) Approved!
